What is eyebrow microblading?
Microblading is a semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo technique that draws individual hairs with a manual tool fitted with tiny needles. The artist deposits pigment into the upper layers of the skin, far shallower than a traditional eyebrow tattoo, which is why the result looks natural and gradually fades instead of turning blue or green. Each hair stroke follows the direction of your own eyebrow hair, so the new strokes blend with your natural brow rather than sitting on top like a block of colour.

- Consultation. We talk about what you want and check your skin, because the result depends on your skin type and its condition.
- Brow mapping. We measure your face and draw the ideal brow shape. You approve it before we start.
- Colour. We mix the pigment to suit your hair and skin.
- Numbing cream. We apply a topical numbing cream. Most clients describe the feeling as mild discomfort rather than pain.
- Strokes. Antonella draws the hairs one by one following the design and places the pigment evenly. This is the most meticulous part.
- Aftercare. We explain how to look after your brows and which cream to use while the brows heal.
The appointment lasts about 2 hours. Four to six weeks later we do the touch-up to set the pigment and perfect any detail, because every skin holds colour differently.

How long does microblading last?
The pigment usually lasts 12 to 24 months. Skin type matters most: on dry skin the strokes stay crisp, while on oily skin the pigment blurs sooner, which is why we sometimes suggest powder brows or combo brows instead. Sun, peels, acids and frequent facials over the brow area also make the colour fade faster.

Does microblading hurt?
We use a numbing cream, so most clients only feel mild discomfort, similar to tweezing. Many of our reviews say the treatment didn’t hurt at all. Sensitivity varies from person to person and it is usually a little higher just before your period.

Who should avoid a semi-permanent eyebrow tattoo?

- Uncontrolled diabetes, clotting problems or blood thinners.
- Infections, wounds, dermatitis or active psoriasis around the brows.
- Isotretinoin (Roaccutane) in recent months, or ongoing chemotherapy.
- A tendency to keloid scarring.
Microblading aftercare
Good care is half of the result. Before: avoid alcohol, too much coffee and anti-inflammatories for 24 hours, and don’t wax or tweeze that week. After, for the first 7 to 10 days: keep the brows dry, apply the cream in a very thin layer, skip makeup on the area, avoid sun, saunas, swimming pools and intense exercise, and never pick the scab. How long is the appointment?
About 2 hours, including the design, numbing and strokes. The touch-up is shorter.
Is a touch-up needed?
Yes. After 4 to 6 weeks we check how your brows have healed and add any strokes or colour the skin didn’t hold. It is part of the treatment.
I only visit Málaga a few times a year. Can I still have it done?
Yes, if you can come back for the touch-up 4 to 6 weeks later. Tell us your dates on WhatsApp and we will plan both appointments around your stay.
Can I have microblading over an old eyebrow tattoo?
