What a microblading treatment at BLUSH involves
Many reviews mention the process, so here is what to expect if you want your eyebrows microbladed with us. It is a semi-permanent eyebrow technique, not a traditional eyebrow tattoo: the pigment goes into the upper layer of the skin with fine hair strokes, while a tattoo artist works deeper with a machine.
- Design and mapping. Antonella measures your face shape and maps the eyebrows, then draws the colour and shape on so you can see them in the mirror before anything is done.
- Numbing. A topical anaesthetic cream is applied, which is why so many reviews say it doesn’t hurt.
- First session. The initial treatment takes about 2 hours, stroke by stroke with a hand tool.
- Healing process. For the first few days the brows look darker, then light scabs form; don’t pick the scabs, keep up with the aftercare and avoid putting makeup on the area and too much sun exposure.
- Touch-up. At 4 to 6 weeks we fill any gaps and adjust the result to your skin type.
Microblading usually lasts 12 to 18 months, depending on your skin and how you look after it, and then an annual top-up refreshes it.

- Natural results. The word that appears most is «natural»: hair strokes that don’t look drawn on.

- Filter by service. Google mixes nails, facials and lashes. Look for the ones that talk about microbladed eyebrows and who did them.
- Check the dates. What matters is how the salon works now, not five years ago.

- Read the negative reviews too. Check which service they refer to and whether the salon replied. Nowhere has a perfect 5 with hundreds of reviews.
- Be wary of perfect, anonymous reviews. Identical texts with no name or no service mentioned are rarely trustworthy.
Pros and cons, no frills
Pros
Natural hair-stroke result, you wake up with your brows done, it fills gaps and corrects the shape. Little discomfort: most people describe it as a light scratching feeling.
Cons
It isn’t permanent: it lasts 12 to 18 months and needs a top-up. There are a few days of aftercare and light scabbing, and on very oily skin the strokes blur sooner.
Contraindications: we don’t do it during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with lesions, wounds or infections in the area, with a tendency to keloids, a known allergy to pigments or with treatments that affect healing. If you have diabetes or thyroid problems, or take anticoagulants, check with your doctor first.

If you have gaps, uneven eyebrows or spend time filling them in every day, yes. It isn’t for everyone: on very oily skin shading usually works better. We assess it with you.
