Where to get microblading near you: how to choose the best microblading salon or clinic
Eyebrow microblading is done in beauty salons and studios that specialise in permanent makeup, not at the hairdresser’s or in someone’s home. Choose a place where the artist does the microblading herself, with health and hygiene training, single-use tools, photos of healed brows, verified reviews and a price that includes the follow-up session.
What is hair-stroke microblading?
Microblading, also called eyebrow feathering or eyebrow tattooing, is a semi-permanent makeup technique that draws individual hair-like strokes, one by one, mimicking brow hair. It uses a pen or tebori tool with a disposable blade of tiny needles that places pigment in the surface layer of the skin. The result is a fuller, more defined brow with a natural look that lasts between 12 and 24 months depending on your skin. It is sometimes advertised as 3D microblading or 3D brows, because the hair strokes add dimension.
It’s different from machine permanent makeup for eyebrows, which can create a shaded effect (microshading) or be combined with hair strokes. We explain it in microshading or powder brows.
Where do they offer microblading? Salon, studio or aesthetic clinic
If you search “microblading near me”, you’ll find it offered in three types of place:
Beauty salons
A beauty salon offering microblading with a professional who specialises in brows. They usually also offer brow shaping, waxing, brow lamination and facials, so you can look after your brows before and after in the same place.
Permanent makeup studios
Spaces dedicated only to permanent makeup: microblading, microshading, lips or eyeliner, run by cosmetic tattoo artists specialising in microblading eyebrows. They tend to have a lot of experience in the industry.
Aesthetic clinic
Some clinics also offer it, although microblading is a cosmetic treatment and doesn’t require a doctor. In a microblading clinic, as in a salon, what matters is who does it.
What you shouldn’t do is put yourself in the hands of someone without premises, at home, in a tattoo and piercing shop, or in a salon that only offers it occasionally. Badly done microblading can leave tattoo-like brows, odd colours or scarring, and correcting it costs more than getting it done well. If it has already happened to you, see what to do when microblading has gone wrong.

How to choose the best microblading artists and eyebrow treatment: 7 key checks
- Who does it. Ask the artist’s name and whether she does every session, including the follow-up. A good result depends on the hand and the microblading technique, not the premises.
- Photos of healed brows. Ask to see results weeks later and compare photos, not just freshly done: on day one all brows look good. We explain how to look at them in microblading before and after.
- Brow design first. Before any pigment, the shape of each brow should be measured and drawn to suit your facial features, and you should approve it. No design, bad start.
- Hygiene. Single use tools opened in front of you, gloves, a clean treatment room and health and hygiene training in permanent makeup.
- Quality pigments. Ask which pigments they use and how they choose your brow colour based on your skin and hair. A good pigment fades without turning grey or blue and gives natural results.
- Skin assessment. A good artist will tell you whether your skin type suits microblading or whether microshading would be better (for example, on very oily skin).
- A clear price. The microblading service price should tell you what’s included: the session, the second visit at 4 to 6 weeks and the cost of the annual top-up.
Antonella’s tip: be wary of very low prices and of anyone promising perfect brows without seeing your skin. Every client has different skin, and good work is always tailored.
Verified reviews and booking: what to check
Look for genuine reviews on Google and booking platforms that talk about microblading specifically, not just nails or waxing. Check whether they mention the care, how the aftercare was explained and how the brows looked over time, and whether they name the artist. Microblading specialists with years of experience usually have plenty of reviews about natural brows that last. Before booking, also check that the booking includes a consultation, that the artist replies to your questions, and read the booking conditions (deposit, cancellation). Online booking is handy, but a quick message with a photo of your brows is often the best first step. Browse the salon’s Instagram too: a brow artist’s feed of healed work says more than any advert. And remember that microblading isn’t a classic tattoo: a good tattoo artist isn’t automatically a good brow artist.
How much does microblading cost?
In Spain you can expect to spend anywhere between €200 and €400 depending on the city, the artist’s experience and what’s included. At BLUSH Estética:
| Treatment | Price |
|---|---|
| Microblading (about 2 hours) | €270 |
| Shading brow permanent makeup (powder brows) | €270 |
| Microblading + shading (hybrid brows) | €300 |
| Annual top-up | €170 |

Microblading FAQs
How many microblading sessions do I need?
Microblading typically takes one session plus a touch-up at 4 to 6 weeks. After that, a top-up every 12 to 18 months to keep the colour.
How long does microblading take?
About 2 hours, including the design. The second visit is shorter.
What are the downsides of microblading?
It needs aftercare while healing, it isn’t permanent and on very oily skin the strokes blur more. That’s why it’s key to be assessed first.
What’s the difference between microblading and permanent makeup?
Microblading is done by hand, stroke by stroke; eyebrow permanent makeup is done with a machine and allows a shaded effect or combined techniques.
Is a beauty salon or a beauty clinic better?
Microblading is a cosmetic treatment: what makes the difference is the artist’s experience, hygiene and design, not the type of premises.
