Permanent makeup in Málaga: semi-permanent makeup for brows, lips and eyes
Imagine waking up with defined eyes, colour on your lips and brows in place, without a trip to the mirror. That’s what people who message us are looking for. At BLUSH Estética, Antonella, our semi permanent makeup specialist, does it with care and a design first, at our beauty studio at C. Constancia 23, right by the city centre.
What is permanent makeup?
Permanent makeup, also called semi-permanent makeup or PMU, is a cosmetic treatment that places pigment in the upper layers of the skin to enhance your features: the brows, the lip line or the eyelash line. It isn’t a regular tattoo: the colour sits much higher and the skin gradually breaks it down, so the colour lightens over the years and is maintained with a top-up.
The aim isn’t to «look made up», but to not need makeup to look put together. That’s why at every appointment we take time to design the shape and choose the shade that looks like you, not a template: we tailor every detail to your facial features.

Our most popular treatments: eyebrows and eyeliner, plus lips
All work is done by Antonella, who runs the salon and specialises in facial SPMU, with real artistry in design. The centre speaks Spanish, but we can help you in English via WhatsApp. This is what we offer:
Eyebrow permanent makeup
Powder effect (shading), hair strokes or a combination, to fill gaps, add density to sparse brows or correct their shape. It’s the service we do most and the one that changes facial expression the most. Everything about techniques, duration and aftercare is on eyebrow permanent makeup; if you like a powdered finish, see microshading.
Lip blush: lip permanent makeup
Colour and a defined outline with a natural effect, for pale lips, lips with little definition or slight asymmetries. It doesn’t add volume like a filler, but the lip looks fuller because the edge is crisp. More on lip blush.
Permanent eyeliner to define your eyes
It defines the eye and the eyelash line, from a fine line between the lashes, which makes lashes look fuller, to a soft smoky line or a flick. We explain it in permanent eyeliner.
What we don’t do: scalp or medical
We specialise in brows, lips and eyes. We don’t do scalp micropigmentation (which simulates hair on the scalp) or areola reconstruction or other medical work. They are different specialities and we’d rather tell you clearly.

How much does it cost? Facial permanent makeup prices

How your appointment works, step by step
- Consultation and design. We talk about what you want, look at your skin type and features, and design the shape on your face before touching the skin. We don’t start until you’re happy in the mirror.
- Choosing the colour. We match the shade to your skin, your hair and the natural colour of your lips or lashes, to tailor the result and achieve natural, long-lasting results.
- Topical numbing. We apply a numbing cream so the session is comfortable.
- Colour. Antonella works on the area calmly, checking symmetry and colour.
- Touch-up. At 4 to 6 weeks, once the skin has healed, the colour is set and small gaps are corrected.
Antonella’s tip: in the first days the colour looks more intense and darker than it will be. Don’t panic or judge it before the touch-up: that’s exactly what it’s for.
Aftercare
A good part of the result depends on what you do at home in the first week. When the session is finished we explain the guidelines to every client:
- Don’t touch or scratch the area and let the little scabs fall off on their own.
- Avoid direct sun, swimming pools, sauna and heavy sweating during the first week.
- No exfoliants or acids until the skin has healed.
- Apply only the repair balm we recommend, with no cosmetics on top.
- Afterwards, use sun protection: the sun is what lightens the colour the most.
Before and after: enhancing without it showing
A good result doesn’t look applied; it looks like more defined features that enhance your expression. Shape and colour settle within a few weeks; after the touch-up you see the final result. If you’d like to see recent work, we post it on our Instagram.

Permanent makeup or microblading in Málaga?
For brows there are two routes. The manual technique draws fine strokes that imitate hair, the most realistic option if you’re missing individual hairs; the machine gives an even shading that holds up better on oily skin. If you want to know which suits you, see the full comparison and everything about hair strokes on our microblading in Málaga page.
How to choose a permanent makeup artist in Málaga
There are many places to get your brows or eyes done, and the result depends above all on who does it. Before booking, look for:
- Healed work, not just fresh. Everything looks intense when fresh; what matters is how it looks a month later.
- Design before colour. A serious specialist measures and draws with you before starting.
- High-quality colours and single-use materials, so the colour shifts as little as possible.
- Someone who says no when needed. If you come with a very dark old tattoo, it sometimes has to be lightened first. We explain it in what to do with tattooed eyebrows.
Note too the difference between a beauty centre and a medical clinic: we are a beauty salon, and aesthetics work for brows, lips and eyes doesn’t require anything else.

Permanent makeup FAQ
How many years does permanent makeup last?
It depends on the area and skin type. Brows usually last one to two years, lips a little longer, and eyeliner lasts the longest. On oily skin and with lots of sun the colour lightens sooner; the annual top-up keeps the colour.
Does it hurt?
A numbing cream is applied and most people describe it as bearable discomfort. Lips are the most sensitive area, and even so many clients get through it without any trouble.
How long does it take to heal?
The skin closes in about 7 to 10 days. The colour finishes settling over a few weeks, which is why the touch-up is done at 4 to 6 weeks.
Can it replace makeup?
It replaces day-to-day makeup on the treated area: you don’t need a brow pencil, liner or lip pencil for a flawless look. If you want a more intense look one evening, you can wear makeup on top once healed.
Is it suitable for all skin types?
For most people, yes. If you have very oily skin, allergies, dermatitis or active acne on the area, tell us beforehand: we’ll assess your case and tell you if it’s better to wait.
Shall we talk about what you’d like to change?
Message us on WhatsApp (+34 684 195 381) with what you’d like to change and we’ll reply with the technique that suits you best. We’re at C. Constancia 23, in central Málaga, Monday to Friday 10:00–19:00.
