Eyebrow permanent makeup in Málaga: semi-permanent eyebrows designed for your face, no pencil needed
Gappy, sparse or uneven brows, or brows that wash off the moment you swim in the sea. This facial treatment fixes them with a design made for your face and a pigment that lasts one to two years. At BLUSH Estética it is done by Antonella in our beauty centre at C. Constancia 23, in central Málaga, close to María Zambrano station.
What is eyebrow permanent makeup, or an eyebrow tattoo?
It is a semi-permanent makeup technique, a form of cosmetic tattooing that implants pigment into the skin’s upper layer, to draw, fill in or reshape the brow. Unlike a traditional tattoo, it works at a shallower depth with colours designed to fade gradually, so the colour softens over the years instead of turning blue or grey. That is why people call it permanent brows or an eyebrow tattoo, although strictly speaking it is semi permanent. It saves time and gives long-lasting results compared with conventional makeup.
There are different techniques, and choosing the right one is what makes your new brows look natural:
Hair strokes (microblading)
Individual hair strokes made by hand (the manual or tebori technique) that mimic natural eyebrow hairs. Extremely natural if you are missing brow hairs or have gaps.
Powder brows
A machine shading technique, dot by dot, for soft powder brows, also called ombre brows: lighter at the front of the brow and darker towards the tail. It holds up better on oily and combination skin. More on microshading powder brows.
Combo
Combines microblading and powder brows: strokes at the start and soft colour through the body and tail. Adds density with natural results.
Permanent eyebrows or microblading: which brow technique should you choose?
Both are PMU in the broad sense; what changes is the tool and the finish. Manual strokes are the most natural if you have gaps; machine work gives a powdered brow that lasts longer on oilier skin. Like microblading, powder brows are suitable for most skin types, and your artist will assess your skin type before choosing. If you are not sure which suits you, this comparison walks you through the differences. And if you are after hair strokes only, everything is on our page about microblading in Málaga.

Eyebrow shape and the eyebrow treatment, step by step
- Brow design. To find the right brow shape, we measure your face (proportions, distance between the eyes, your natural arch) and draw the brow with you in front of the mirror. We don’t start until you love it.
- Colour. We choose the shade to match your skin type, your hair and the hairs you already have. If you are prone to allergies, tell us beforehand and we can consider a patch test.
- Numbing cream. We apply a topical anaesthetic cream to the area. Most clients describe a mild discomfort; many find it almost painless.
- Pigmentation. Each stroke or dot is made by hand or by machine, so the treatment is tailored to your needs and preferences, depending on the technique. The full session takes about 2 hours, including the design.
- Touch-up at 4 to 6 weeks. Once the skin has healed, we set the colour and fill any gaps where the pigment didn’t take. It is one session plus the touch-up, not three sessions.
Antonella’s tip: don’t come freshly plucked or tinted. Let your brows grow for a couple of weeks: with more hair I can see your natural shape better and the design comes out more faithful.
Healing process and aftercare
For the first few days your brows look darker and more intense, and the brow may look fuller than it will end up. That is normal: as the tiny scabs fall off, the shade softens and settles over a few weeks. What helps most:
- Don’t touch, scratch or pick the scabs; let them fall off on their own.
- Keep the area clean and apply only the cream we recommend.
- Avoid direct sun, pools, the beach, saunas and heavy sweating during the first week.
- No scrubs, peels or acids on the brow until it has healed.
- Don’t wax the area or wear makeup on it until it has fully healed.
For the day-by-day detail, see the healing stages.
How much do permanent eyebrows cost in Málaga?
These are our current prices:
| Treatment | Price |
|---|---|
| Powder brows (ombré brows) | €270 |
| Hair strokes, manual technique | €270 |
| Combo: hair strokes + powder | €300 |
| Annual top-up | €170 |
| Laser to remove old brow pigment (per session) | €50 |
The price depends on the technique you choose, not on a rough guess. If you come with old, very dark tattooed eyebrows, it is sometimes better to lighten it with laser first; we will tell you at the consultation. Full details on microblading prices.
Does permanent makeup look natural? Before and after
Good work looks like your own natural brow at its best: more defined, symmetrical and with just the right density, without a drawn-on look. This is how a thin or gappy brow usually changes:

“Feliz con mis nuevas cejas gracias a la técnica de Microblanding pelo a pelo. Tenía mucho complejo porque no tenía apenas cejas y siempre iban pintadas, lo cual era un problema porque en verano al bañarme estaba siempre preocupada que no se fuera el maquillaje. Apenas tenía cejas y gracias a Antonella y sus maravillosas manos tengo unas cejas nuevas y lo mejor de todo, super naturales.”
“Happy with my new brows thanks to the hair stroke microblading technique. I was very self-conscious because I hardly had any eyebrows and always had to draw them on, which was a problem in summer: whenever I went swimming I was worried the makeup would come off. I barely had brows, and thanks to Antonella and her wonderful hands I have new ones and, best of all, super natural.”

Como es un tratamiento de larga duración estaba un poco nerviosa, pero Antonella se tomó mucho tiempo realizando el diseño e incorporando los cambios que le pedí.”
“I had shading-effect brows and lip permanent makeup at BLUSH with Antonella. I love the results! They are very natural. As it is a long-lasting treatment I was a bit nervous, but Antonella took a lot of time over the design and made the changes I asked for.”

Permanent eyeliner, lip blush and other PMU
Antonella also does lip blush, to add colour and definition to the lips, and permanent eyeliner, a semi-permanent line that defines the lash line. You can see all our treatments on permanent makeup in Málaga; all the makeup techniques use the same careful design.

If you are not ready for pigment yet, we also do brow shaping, threading, brow lamination and lash lifts at the centre: a good way to try a shape before you decide. As a full beauty centre we also offer facials, waxing, lash extensions and manicures and pedicures. What we don’t do is scalp micropigmentation.

Eyebrow permanent makeup: frequently asked questions
How long does permanent eyebrow makeup last?
One to two years, depending on your skin and how you look after it. On dry skin it usually lasts longer; with oily skin and a lot of sun exposure, less. An annual top-up keeps the colour fresh. We explain it in depth in how long microblading lasts.
Is it the same as an eyebrow tattoo?
No. A tattoo goes deeper, is permanent and tends to change colour over the years. PMU is superficial and fades gradually.
Does it hurt?
Numbing cream is applied before we start and most people only feel light pressure or a scratching sensation. It is one of the most bearable areas.
Can permanent eyebrows be removed?
Yes. We offer laser sessions at €50 each to lighten or remove old work.
Can I choose the colour and shape?
Yes. We design the shape with you and choose the shade to suit your skin and hair. We never pigment anything you haven’t seen and approved in the mirror first.
How many sessions do I need?
One session of about 2 hours and a touch-up at 4 to 6 weeks. After that, a yearly top-up if you want to keep the intensity.
